Recommend following your own advice.
Then you clearly know it doesn't fit.
It's true that US doesn't export much of anything nowadays, but it's certainly is a politically and economically unstable country.
Let me do your homework for you. This will be the ONLY time I will do this.
"The term banana republic describes a struggling country whose economy depends on exporting natural resources — particularly agriculture, hence the banana — to larger, wealthier nations. These countries are politically unstable, making them susceptible to worker exploitation, government corruption, and foreign control. While banana republic used to be a commonplace term in political science, it’s considered derogatory today."
It does not fit. Curb your hate. It is inaccurate emotional propaganda.
Let me do your homework for you. This will be the ONLY time I will do this. The term banana republic is commonly used to describe any exploitative government that functions poorly for its citizenry while disproportionately benefiting a corrupt elite group or individual., which is precisely what US is. Hope this helps you educate yourself.
I cannot have a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent.
So.......... Educate yourself mate. Your ignorance is on full display. Good luck
Evidently you can't even read the dictionary definition of a term you're attempting to debate, let alone have a battle of wits. Best of luck to you, sounds like you need it.
yawn
That's an amazing counterpoint you got there. Just can't admit that you were confidently wrong there can you.
Go back to your miserable troll life on Reddit.
Move along, you are dismissed.
I've been on Lemmy for years long before you reddit trollls showed up here. Why don't you take your own advice here and move along. You exposed yourself as being confidently wrong and now you're seething over it. Pretty pathetic if you ask me.
