May I ask what's wrong with supporting mods according to those people? I don't get it
Maybe it's like
"Damn you Larian! If I can mod the game, I'll never stop playing and my life will fall to pieces! You bastards!"
Having 40 mods made this game playable to me. Vanilla was broken and boring. Needs the spice that is mods.
I honestly don't see how. Could you give some examples of what made it broken? Because aside from a better inventory management system being nice, I hadn't encountered anything that made me think "this game is unplayable in vanilla!"
A few examples I recall. Shadow heart romance was locked out and bugged I had to use a mod to fix it Switches didn't work in that underwater level. Quest items being able to sold was super dumb.
