What to do now?

Don't trust corporations, especially those where one egomaniac has all the power. Use open-source and community driven solutions if you can (like Mastodon).

Honestly I'm just quitting social media. It got to a point where I just go on to learn about things, not to laugh at something stupid or post about how I'm feeling. You don't need 4+ social media accounts at that point.

Don't promote proprietary software
Try to keep things on topic
If you have a question, please try searching for previous discussions, maybe it has already been answered
Reposts are fine, but should have at least a couple of weeks in between so that the post can reach a new audience
