- News oriented content (general reviews, previews or retrospectives allowed).
- Broad discussion posts (preferably not only about a specific game).
- No humor/memes etc..
- No affiliate links
- No advertising.
- No clickbait, editorialized, sensational titles. State the game in question in the title. No all caps.

- No duplicate posts, newer post will be deleted unless there is more discussion in one of the posts.

My goal is just to have a community where people can go and see what new game news is out for the day and comment on it.

It is if that's what you like. I prefer a community which is why it was so great to find your favorite CS servers. Any decent mod would make sure the teams were relatively balanced.
Also, it meant you could have servers dedicated to cheating. Wasn't quite my jam but it was certainly interesting when I checked it out.
Don't have much of that anyone. Everyone hopped on the matchmaking bandwagon hoping their game would be the next popular sport game.
Matchmaking is a pretty good system for people who just want to get a game going without having to navigate the social fabric of a community.
What I'm saying is that both are good for different audiences, or even the same people at different times.
