It's a bit of an assumption because I've seen plenty of chuds venerate being off the grid and being rid of all of it. In a sense that it's not just racism, but your modern woman is flawed in her inheritance in a way that only farm work for a young woman could solve. So more than the suburban sprawl, they yearn for a small rural community in the alps with a golden retriever (and still a nuclear family for some reason). In my estimation, the people who like the suburban sprawl are the people who are already served by it. It's a complacency, wealth signifier, and that good old fashioned paranoia (with probably racism and transphobia)
