The gay furry porn just isn't my style and I haven't quite looked into how to block entire instances yet.

Lemmy can't support instance blocking on a personal user level unless your admin defederated from them. Until then it's just a game of whack a mole...

whack a mole...

That's what I'm trying to block though.

Expect to see something soon for it though! There’s an open issue on GitHub. Someone just need to implement it.

Just FYI, Kbin can block instances. So of that issue is important to you, check it out

Unfortunately no android app yet, so I'm on Lemmy till one is made. The Artemis kbin app has an estimated release date of September 1st and I'll probably move then if Lemmy still doesn't have instance blocking.

You seem to be able to block instances on the connect android app

Correct my first ever instance block was of a furry porn instance. However it appears to have disappeared from my block list today, I wonder if that means my home instance unfederated from it?

Artemis is in beta right now, and you could ask to enter the beta (check their community) or find the APK (it auto-updates btw). Otherwise, @ me on Telegram or Discord

The app you use can instance block on mobile. Not sure about desktop experience tho. Connect and Liftoff have blocks I dunno about the other applications yet
