Only a jabroni would have a laptop on the kitchen table while they eat
After working in IT support for years I can assure you that is probably very common. One fat guy named Mel had the dirtiest keyboard I've ever seen and it was absolutely repulsive. Glad I don't deal with those disgusting slobs anymore.
Gatekeeping where someone can use thier laptop in their own home seems wack. Although, I'd advise to not use it in the shower.
