While I said I don't want it to be a struggle session, cool headed good faith discussion is also appreciated. This just came up with some comrades of mine and I couldn't find the last post about it so if anyone has the link that would be great too.

counterpoint fools are cool

if dehumanization is game, dog and creature are preferred for general use, stubbornly foolish is a donkey. bottom-feeder is inspecific but transparent

I try to avoid dehumanization outright, barring some very extreme edge cases.

i go back and forth on animal comparisons, it can be really vile sometimes but people also do it very casuallyshrug-outta-hecks i personally think dog is very mean, but donkey/ass a lot less rude for some reason

I like starting an animal-comparison, then reversing half way to say that the noble rat or pig or jackal has done nothing so awful as to deserve being compared to the person I'm insulting.

I found a YouTube link in your comment. Here are links to the same video on alternative frontends that protect your privacy:

bit contextual but you'd associate it with gullibility & servility for an insult

if someone called me a dog i would just say "doggo-matapacos "

Sometimes with libs I'll say something like "even a dog will turn and bite if it's been abused long enough, but you never will!'
