The "western mindset," build around the highest of the Greco-Roman and Judeo-Christian ideals, is what has allowed the world to prosper. Even the most recent humanist ideals are built upon those western ideals.

The reason western ideals are not working is that people have abandoned them. Resentment and self-imposed victimization have taken the place of gratitude and accountability. I know I sound like I'm 900 years old, but the reality of that hasn't changed.

There's no such thing as Greco-Roman ideals, those were slave societies operated by pedophiles and they were in direct conflict with both Jews and Christians. "Judeo-Christian" has never been a thing outside of maybe Jesus himself. Even to the extent that Greece and Rome had specific ideologies, modern people would find them pretty alien. Like they had no concept of biological race, homosexuality was frequently considered superior to being hetero, and religious belief was explicitly syncretic and flexible.
