What about Facebook? That's full of crap too.
Unfortunately I think Facebook is non-negotiable at this point. Stuff's FB presence is probably their biggest outside their own site and would mean sacrificing too much of their audience.
It would be great if they started their own instance though. Tooting their own horn about it would be a good introduction to people who haven't tried the fediverse yet.
