He can move to the surface of the sun. Just tell him it'll be cool and dark if he goes at night, he's a moron so it has a good chance of working.

[–] rovingnothing29@lemmy.world 17 points 2 days ago (5 children)

That's just wasteful. It's about 3 times more fuel efficient to hurl him into the crushing depths of Jupiter than the fires of the sun.

It’s ok to treat yourself sometimes.

he would likely burn up in jupiters atmosphere long before it gets crushed.

[–] db2@lemmy.world 6 points 2 days ago (1 children)

One good burst and let him go ballistic, whether or not he makes the sun isn't particularly relevant.

You still need to make sure he goes away from earth, not accidentally tumbling towards it in a few thousand years.

Do the ISS astronauts dump their waste in a decaying orbit? If so, he would just be another dehydrated turd burning up in the atmosphere on reentry.

I'd prefer a little less pollution in my atmosphere, thank you very much.

I know these scales are difficult to imagine, but his Rocket burning up in Orbit isn't even a blip on the radar compared to what he does now, and will do for the foreseeable future.

I’m not mad at the many bacteria that make up the majority of his body. They can come back in a couple thousand years, after they thoroughly wash the musk off.

Tell him the surface of the moon is made out of ketamine but you got to take it fresh from the source.

[–] jaybone@lemmy.zip 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

It seems like that wouldn’t be more fuel efficient.

Orbital mechanics is fun like that. To over simplify things, you would have to cancel out the speed we travel around the sun or you would have to add speed to get to the high orbit Jupiter has. It actually takes less energy to escape the pull of the sun than it does to send something to the sun.

He's already paying for Mars, just tell him you've solved all the safety issues and his private rocket is all ready. He can take anyone he likes with him, they just have to be able to buy their own tickets, don't want any non-billionaires along.

[–] FlexibleToast@lemmy.world 8 points 2 days ago

He's not paying for shit. SpaceX lives on government funding.

[–] Mycatiskai@lemmy.ca 3 points 2 days ago

Send him on one of his heavy rockets. We know how well his stuff works.

I know he doesn't actually design this stuff but the stupid things he asks his engineers to do is what is wrecking his companies.
