Everyone is fine, except me. Pictured is my own cat who i am so grateful for right now.

I've been catsitting for my neighbours for years. One best girl in particular is the first cat who I truly fell in love with. She was skittish for a few years but in the space of a couple of sittings I guess she fell in love with me too. One day she just out of nowhere came and sat on my lap. Not long after she started curling up on my neck like she was my scarf.

I've spent more Christmases with her than my own father. I've loved my neighbours other cats too but she was special to me, and a big part of why I got my own. They knew how much I loved them.

I found out in the space of 5mins Patrick Stewart had died, and my neighbours had moved out yesterday. They said they would let me know beforehand so I could say goodbye. "Take care, thanks for everything". Just gone.

She is white and orange. Goodbye my beautiful little tofu pumpkin. I love you.

Edit: forgot the extra bit. On my way to work i saw a cat sitting right in front of a car wheel and heard the engine running. NOT TODAY MOTHERFUCKER'd that situation. Dude was startled and I apologised saying I just didn't want everyone having a very sad day.

Aw that's awesome! My son called our cat that because he had a bobtail even though his name was Wheatley. It became his nickname.

His legal name is Zoro because he is a pirate and I am japanese and and am a fan of One Piece. But PICKLE just slides off the tongue right?

Or the guttural back of the throat when he is being naughty x

one of the most important things to consider when naming a pet is how it will sound wandering around calling their name. if you don't get a giggle out of the idea of you shouting "Zoro" or "Pickle" at the neighborhood (and i do!) you need to pick names that are better for you and your cat.

all this because i wanted to tell you we used to have a cat whose full government name was "steve" who liked and responded to the name "grandma"

Excellent. One girl at school had an outdoor cat named Housey Patch Scratch which her mother hated having to call for dinner. And another cat named The Rocket.
