Just curious. If you're training for a race, what's your weekly mileage like, and what distance are you training for? I'm stuck around 20 mpw right now because life, kind of want to live vicariously through other runners. Hoping to eventually get back to ultras, but probably won't have time to run enough for that for at least a year or two.

My last marathon training block, i got up to 120k in a week. I think it burnt me out a bit, especially given the mediocre race result i got.

I've gone back to focusing on cycling now, so i'm doing around 30-40km/week. I aim for 2 quality sessions a week and one long run. But without a race on my calendar, i get pretty lazy and just end up doing a lot of easy running

Wow, that's a lot of mileage for a marathon to me. Maybe not enough recovery? I'm used to a max of 80k a week for a 50k race

It was a lot of mileage.... sub-elite mileage, for a very pedestrian time goal, lol. Oh well, lesson learned....

i've never done anything longer than a marathon. 50k/ultras sound crazy to me... my attention span is too low to run for that long. Kudos to you
