The point is they only do this to save money seasonally, they could just crank up the coal generators.

Canadians are quite delusional about the autonomy of Canada from the US economy. It could take generations to uncouple.

Careful, I can hear the goal posts moving there.

It may be painful and take a while, but that's no reason not to do it.
