Yet all men are deeply distrusted by default. Maybe "the point" is that men are people too and people deserve love? Maybe the idea that we can't judge an entire race/ethnicity/religion/gender/group based on the actions of a few also applies to men?

Men are victims are the patriarchy too you know.

"Imagine a bowl of M&Ms. 10% of them are poisoned. Go ahead. Eat a handful. Not all M&Ms are poison."

Many people picture rape as an attack by a stranger. But FBI crime data shows that 76% of reported rapes are perpetrated by someone the victim already knew.

These perpetrators include acquaintances, friends, and neighbors; romantic partners and spouses; and parents, siblings, and other family members.

When rape and sexual assault start to diminish, more people can trust men initially. As it is, men can be extremely dangerous, especially to women and children.

Trust, but verify. If you are not a man who rapes, then do not pre-emptively group yourself in with those men.

People who avoid men or distrust them are protecting themselves. They aren't attacking you.

Genuinely not trying to be obtuse, but I think a reading of "not all men" is what one could describe as not preemptively grouping yourself with them. It reads to me, perhaps naïvely, as drawing a line perhaps with that specific goal? No one disputes the existence of men, and "not all men" implies two groups, no?

What do you envision as a way to communicate a distinction such that you don't suggest you're not a man, but also say you're not a rapist?

Don’t rape others. Understand consent. Treat people with respect. Callout other men’s bad behavior.

Sigh.... I hope someday you choose to view other people as people and stop looking for reasons to live in fear and hatred.

I live a quite full life with wonderful people, no need to worry about me. I'm just posting the news - when rape stories stop being written, I'll stop posting them.

People can be terrible. It's good to not be ignorant to that.
