I would say there’s a difference between reading and comprehension. He can read, but he has zero ability to comprehend what he’s reading. Anything requiring complex thought — nahh he’s doneskies.

I think he can read. Given how he talks though, it's at a very low grade level. One could say he's doing it to keep it where his base can understand the words, but that's giving him a lot of credit for being a closet mastermind (aka Phil Hartman's Reagan skit on SNL). I doubt it.

One of his ex wives said in interviews that Trump kept a book of Hitler's speeches on his bedside table.

That's his idea of some light reading before bedtime..
