is there a level cap ? or like a max lvl ?
Most skills have a "soft cap". These are points when additional levels in that skill no longer bring the same amount of increases. For most skills, this tends to be around level 60.
Also there's a way to respec your character if you feel you don't like your current build, so it's not a done deal when you invest or x or y
