Peter Navarro said Canadian lobbyists should 'get the hell out of our country'

One of U.S. President Donald Trump's trade advisers is threatening repercussions for Canada if it "interferes" in the upcoming midterm elections — though it's not clear what he anticipates the country would do to impact the vote.

To be clear, the election will be affected by the trade war that the president started via tariffs that we (Canada) have put in place. We're effectively robbing specific swing states of customers and/or required supplies, or at least driving up the costs with tariffs (which are all in place due to the tariffs placed on us).

We're turning the tariff into a very targeted weapon to discourage the purchase of things important to those states, like pulp and paper, as an example.... And it's working. The voters in those places know what is happening and why. The trade war is literally putting them out of business slowly, and there's absolutely no mystery about it.

Does this mean we're interfering? Or are the tariffs placed against Canada by the USA the root of the problem?

I know what I think, and I know what the US media will say already.
