From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).
Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

So will CPUs, trains and new medicines. Some sectors simply need a huge amount of capital.
But this I think is not just likely, but inevitable. As long as at least one company puts out open-source AI models, users will have the option of switching to it. So even if they don't switch, they can use this leverage to keep AI access sellers in check. Eventually, the whole market of selling access to AI will collapse, and the only AI trainers will be people who want to give it out for free (governments, universities) or companies who use it as a loss leader to sell an actual product.
