  • Roman Empire/Byzantium
  • Sassanid Empire
  • Umayyad Caliphate
  • Abbasid Caliphat
  • Fatimid Caliphat
  • Seljuk Empire
  • Crusaders and Mameluks
  • Ottoman Empire
  • United Kingdom
  • Israel/Palestine

So basically constant Muslim controlled territory until the UK came in
