The Sims Medieval is a weird game. It's barely a Sims game in the sense that you create characters, can edit the character's homes a bit, and the characters have needs you need to take care of.

But it's actually this weird RPG-like game where the characters play parts in stories and ongoing narrative. Basically you create characters for specific roles, and pick mini-stories to play through. Kind of hard to explain.

Also it's running on The Sims 3 engine so it's full of jank from the get-go, and it's basically unsupported by EA, and - and! - delisted from Steam in favour of Origin/EA app.
