Lauren Boebert says claims of sexual relationships with staffers ‘utterly false’ (www.theguardian.com)

Among the most prominent allegations are that Boebert conducted a four-year “romantic and sexual relationship” with a senior female staffer, named as Clarice Navarro Ratzlaff, then paid her $200,000 when Ratzlaff broke off the affair and threatened to file an ethics complaint of her own.

Additionally, Wheeler alleges, Boebert had a sexual relationships around the same time with Raven Finegan, a congressional employee and the congresswoman’s district chief of staff, and Jeffrey Small, who was her chief of staff from 2021 to 2025.

The complaint includes detailed financial records of Boebert’s congressional spending, and payments to staff that included more than $450,000 to Finegan to June 2026, and almost $780,000 to Small. Ratzlaff received more than $461,000.

Wait wait, I think I've heard this one before.

In a social media post Tuesday, Boebert said she had attended the performance and said she was “guilty to laughing and singing too loud.”

“It’s true, I did thoroughly enjoy the AMAZING Beetlejuice at the Buell Theatre and I plead guilty to laughing and singing too loud! Everyone should go see it if you get the chance this week and please let me know how it ends,” she said in the post.

In a statement shared with CNN, Boebert’s campaign manager, Drew Sexton, said Boebert denied vaping during the show but did use her cellphone to take a picture of the performance, unaware that photos were not allowed. The statement was first shared with the Denver Post.

“I can confirm the stunning and salacious rumors: in her personal time, Congresswoman Lauren Boebert is indeed a supporter of the performing arts (gasp!) and, to the dismay of a select few, enthusiastically enjoyed a weekend performance of ‘Beetlejuice,’” Sexton said in the statement.

Ms Boebert was kicked out of Denver theater during a production of the musical Beetlejuice last September after vaping, singing, taking flash photos, and groping her date in the dark venue. At first she denied the incident - until video surveillance was released.

Becoming visibly irked, Boebert shot back: “I don’t believe there was disrespect. There were things that were taken out of context. It’s been reported that I flipped someone off and I did not. So I think it’s been mischaracterized.”

The Colorado Republican then accused Clark of releasing the footage and showing the public a very “private moment.”
