Roughly 96% of people polled by the Mirror US believe Donald Trump is the "dumbest president ever."

The survey, conducted last week, asked 15,000 people to assess President Trump's decision-making as the crucial 2026 midterm elections approach.

"'Dumb'" is such a polite word," one commented.

"I think it's pretty obvious to anyone with an IQ over 90. Even kids think he's stupid," another joked.

God damn it. I was hoping this would have been an actual poll with proper data on who they polled and shit but it was just a fuckass Shitter poll.

If you thought for a second that ~85% of Trump’s MAGA cult would tell a pollster that Trump is the dumbest president ever, you… thought wrong.

Every poll depends a lot on the phrasing of the question. The question:

xhitter poll

As far as journalistic integrity goes, the title should've been "...people agree he is the dumbest..." and not believe.

OTOH, glad to see there's still some normal human beings on Xhitter.

Also, what a horrible outlet.

Even with that advantage, people still have a worse opinion of the Democratic Party than of Trump and the Republican Party

The survey was conducted Sept. 2-9, 2026, interviewing 1,023 adults nationwide, with a margin of error of +/-3.3 percentage points. For registered voters, the sample size is 864, with a margin of error of +/-3.6. For likely voters, the sample size is 581, with a margin of error of +/-4.3 percentage points.

The results coincide with other reports this week, indicating that more than half of Americans believe Trump's stewardship has ultimately hurt the economy.

It's still an unrelated survey, not the one the article is about. It's better than a twitpoll, but the 15k sample size got me excited in a way a 1500 sample size doesn't.

Raw sample size means very little when you're wanting statistically significant information. A properly prepared poll can get a statistically representative response from as little as 100 responses as long as you're not needing something like 1% margins.

On the other hand, a twitter poll will self-select based on that userbase. It won't be an representative base of the country/world... but it will give a statistically representative response for the group of users still on and actively using the MechaHitler site. MechaHitler social media users giving a 96% response like this is insane. Twitter is nearly as far from a left wing bastion as you can get, other than Truth Social.
