Well you actually have to read the papers and report on them accurately. There is no simple answer to the homework debate because actually it depends a lot on the details. A 6-year-old is very different from a 16-year-old, for example...
It turns out that some people in America actually pay attention to details, to nuance, to effective implementation. Of course many don't, including the creator of this particular graphic.
yeah it depends on the quality of the homework and instruction generally.... but we dont' want to talk about that because that's difficult to turn into a number.
not to mention... some folks simple take forever to do homework and others don't based on intelligencet and study habits. I never had more than an hour or two of homework a night, and I was in advanced course of study. But i regretted in college... not having more/harder courses, but i went to a shitty school... so there was no option to have more rigorous courses.
Actually the homework debate does have a simple answer, the older you get the less effective it is. Not to mention it was created as a punishment in like, 1097 or some shit.
You can cultivate attention to detail without killing someone's social skills.
That simple answer is a dramatic generalisation.
