He probably just did what most ppl do already and listened to the opinions of whoever around him he trusts on these issues. Celebrities are not advocates, politicians, or activists, those who got bad advice are gonna get fucked by the mob.

Ed had every ability to take the right side of this and HE chose not to.

You're right. If you had $400M and your boss asked you to stand up for genocide or you wouldn't get paid that week would you do it? Cause that's literally what this is . Guy is obscenely wealthy. Him not only not using his power to help others but actively fighting for the oppressor is not 'being neutral'. You want to hoard wealth? While claiming to be an artist? Gotta know there's a good chance at some point someone's gonna call you out

Assuming it was even brought up with anyone else. For all we know he wasn't even the one deciding or in the loop on it. Y'all are so rabid with your hatred because you can they to the thing you hate.
His own statement told us everything we needed to know. To be clear, Sheeran isn't the only one to blame, but unfortunately as the lead act and poster child of the tour, he's going to get the brunt of it.
Not a single other artist had any problem leaving the tour.
