I am like this and I am not sure if I am broken or what. Shit staying the way it is is 100% fine for me - as long as it's practical, idc. But my partner needs to shake things up every once in a while or she feels bad. x_x

you're not broken. don't let other people bully you into becoming superficial and caring about what color the curtains are. you just focus on the essential, that's fine.

I'm glad they're like that. My place was literally pic related until she showed up.

Place looks the same to me now, functionally, but also its a "home" too now, so thats nice.

Mine was post-soviet flat. It's still mostly is as we are poor as shit, but she rearranged furniture at least 5 times since she moved in xD

I have ADHD and I need to change my environment occasionally to tame the ADHD demon. Maybe she does too.

Possibly. She's defo on spectrum. Both diagnosed by the prof. S. Jonal (me) and actual profesionals. Fun to know it's tied to that.
