MODERATORS
No just reddit for now, I've been daydreaming lately about putting out feelers for a lifeboat process in case reddit became even more sour, but the sub on reddit has been dying for years
Which is unfortunate, lots of folks don't know this history but before the Trump years r/arabs was probably the only non-sectarian/openly communist sub on Reddit, in fact shortly before Trump it developed an almost proto-chapotraphouse reputation
That sub has always been too good for reddit, but in its time it's done some amazing things; like the site wide cultural exchange program r/arabs pioneered that saw cross sub AMAs with every major national sub on reddit (even the racist ones, who were barely tamed for a day), to the old threads filled with genuine scholars of Arab history whose insights made it even to the frontpage (pissing off worldnews users in the process), and of course the running battle with zionist reddit that saw a couple dozen dedicated posters handling brigade after brigade and tearing apart the arguments advanced by the apartheidists, which again even made it to the frontpage, pissing worldnews users off in the process
Those were good years
You should really suggest a lifeboat to the mod there. The admins having your back here is a big deal for reducing load
Not to mention having the entire posting power of hexbear to back you up.
When I told the mod about hexbear they had never heard of it, hopefully we make a good impression and can begin some kind of process of integration, there are alot of comrades who frequented the sub in the old days, I have a suspicion a couple of them like me are already here but the majority probably gave up on reddit years ago
