It's always the exact same argument with these people and none of us should care except to ridicule them:
"It would be nice if the people in charge weren't giant pieces of shit, that's for sure. But since one side is clearly made entirey of giant pieces of shit, we cannot allow a shit gap and must act exactly like them!"
