The histories of anti-colonial resistance of Crimean Tatar and Ukrainian peoples provide a common ground for them to construct a non-competitive and hopeful story of Crimea’s future. Mariia Shynkarenko argues that a key component of this future is Ukraine’s recognition of Crimean Tatars’ Indigeneity as a political rather than just cultural category.

I mean how should Crimea be handled, the russians there, the local Tatars the ones deported etc. what should be the policy to Crimea after its under Ukrainian control. Controlling it doesnt mean its "healed" as history showed us

Pretty sure that should be decided by Ukranians and not the wider internet. It's just such a weird question to even ask.

the ukrainians voted to leave -- the weirder question is asking what happens when the russians leave when they've already told the world what they wanted.
