$2000... Good grief. For the base model, too!
I would say "Read the room, Apple," but they seem to be doing just fine by squeezing every nickel and dime from everybody else.
It’s smack dab between the Samsung Z Fold 8 ($1900) and Z Fold 8 Ultra ($2100). Seems appropriate for its market.
Look at MSRP of Samsung. It’s $1900.
