Yes they don’t have anywhere near that range. But also, an attack on the mainland (like a terrorist attack) would likely help Trump’s allies in the midterm elections, which it seems like Iran is waiting out because there should be a huge political swing, if they’re not already too compromised.

Ah, I see. Admittedly I don't know much about military operations. I guess my simplistic view was that since they're already at war, and Trump is already threatening to wipe Iran off the map, it would be more directly advantageous to Iran's goals to hit America closer to home. Your explanation makes a lot of sense though, thanks!

Yeah I don’t know much about it either, just saw an article about their range capabilities recently. I don’t think they’re capable of hitting much outside of the Middle East.
