Nor are they available to disabled people. But people like @Michal@programming.dev think they have the whole world figured out because they have the privilege to do so.

In some ways, it was worse - when I lived in the same city as the dialysis place, before I was driving again, I took paratransit. Although it's a "shared ride" and sometimes I'd actually have a fellow passenger, most of the time it was just me in the van. heh.

(Although I know for a fact that during "rush hour" they would sometimes have entire groups going close enough to need a van)
