You might want to try https://audiobookshelf.org/

It has some polished mobile clients as well browser support:

It looks interesting, but I'm on a Mac. Its server requires Windows, Linux, or Docker. I've never been able to figure out Docker. Like I said to the last person, I'd like to set up a Linux server, and I'd use Audiobookshelf there.
