I share your opinion on Westworld, but I don't see this happening in Silo. Silo is based on a series of books, the first two seasons relatively closely follow the story laid out in Wool. Of course there are some differences, but that is to be expected of any adaptation. I can't say much about the stuff in the third season from your spoiler, not sure that is in any of the books, but I don't see the problem with those parts.
