Same feeling when I found out X and Zero are absolutely functioning as cops: the maverick hunters are an armed paramilitary force authorized by human order to hunt, label, and kill “deviant” reploids.
Yeah that's very interesting, X kinda seems more reluctant to dish out violence than Zero, but still he does it. Mavericks are also known as "Irregulars" in the Japanese version. I'm not calling out the creators or anything, I think you can write some very interesting stories in that setting...
The Zero series is cool to have swapped the formula. It's probably the best the MegaMan games have to offer.
I agree, I prefer the X and Zero games much more to the classics
