/c/TenForward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!

Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.

~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 3. Use spoiler tags. Use spoiler tags in comments, and NSFW checkbox for posts.
This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.

~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'

~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.

Fun will now commence.

It's not illegal where I live, you can get good quality weed from reputable sources, but it just messes with me. Weed was fine with me up until my early 20s, but then it changed somehow. I'd only smoke the occasional joint every two months or so.

EDIT: I may have misinterpreted that comment. Leaving that meme anyway.

I do think my body just noped out of weed for some reason. 🤷‍♀️

Your body and brain chemistry undergoes various changes over time, it could just be that it's no longer compatible with you. This has happened with a few buddies of mine, they're just no longer into it as it now either makes them go to sleep, or gives them anxiety symptoms.
Many people still think cannabis is THE thing for everyone, but at the end of the day it's still a drug which can affect each of us differently.

If you've already tried different strains and genetic lineages, and still have the same result, it may be something to consider.

Yes, I gave up trying a long time ago. It's just not compatible with me anymore. Bummer, though.

Your describing THC overdose btw. Weed has become stronger and if you were happy with 12% but now all you can find is 20-30%. You only need to smoke 1/2 or 1/3 as much. Source medical patient and THC dependant.

Or to put this in other terms, if you used to drink nothing but light beer and then switch to ipas you will find that you get drunk way too easy and it's not as enjoyable.

Not necessarily. I'm same as OP, happened also in my 20s (a long damn time ago).

I broke my collar bone a couple of years ago, and when I ran out of pain meds, I would smoke a bit of hash. As in one max two hits on a hash spliff.

The hash helped with the pain for sure, but every single minute I had to do full on mindfulness. Walking to the store about to freak out then reminded my brain "hey that's ok but we are walking now; go back to paying attention to you feet and arms."

I've tried smoking recreationally throughout the years. In the past 25 years I've had a good experience exactly once, and Io am convinced it was because the circumstances were literally perfect for me, mentally and physically.

So yeah even with tiny doses of different strains, it just turned on my and stayed turned. And it sucks, yes.
