The weather during spring/summer/autumn affects the food supply year round. If a crop fails in the summer due to heatwaves or floods thats it - no more until the following year.

The situation in the ME affects the price/availability of oil products and fertilisers. Fuel prices makes it more expensive to import food. Fertiliser shortages makes it harder to grow anything here and around the world.

The fact is we're used to going to the supermarket and picking up whatever we want at a decent price, all year-round. That's becoming more challenging and could fail this winter.

It's all starting to wobble. You know when you start losing control of your vehicle? And you overcompensate in one direction then the other- except we're not even trying to correct shit, we're going straight into the ditch.
