Oh how I wish this was all true. France and China are de microslopping and de googling along with many other countries in the EU but is only their governments. Sure we here are on the right side of the curve, using less and less US things but there are still the vast majority of people who are at the tippy top of the bell curve and think the ads and trackers me nothing and I can turn whatever microslop calls Clippy off. They do not realize how much they are feeding big tech and how much big tech is feeding them, when I was trying to convince people to come to Lemmy someone gave me some sales pitch for some truck they said they pulled out of their ass, and said does not mean I am going to buy this truck. The fact that they could come up with some realistic sounding ad just proved my point they are stuck at the tippy top of the bell curve.

Honestly I hope that the crash happens before private business can change. I don't ever, ever want to see the US say "look, back to normal!" and businesses go back. Dump America immediately or get burned.
