The ownership and telemetry shenanigans were unfortunate but this does look good. It's also good that this remains an opensource project with potentially viable funding attached.

I must admit I still run Audacity 2.x or whatever and have no problems with it. But there are a lot of QoL improvements here that I'm excited about.
