This is the average opinion of tech workers
Blahaj zone like all online trans spaces are probably massively disproportionately transfems and online transfems are largely disproportionately coders by trade
There was a demographic poll a while back and the majority of users on 196 were cis ~~and male~~(I misremembered and assumed). The community is on blahaj but the traffic from trans blahaj users is relatively small. (I was told at one point by a v*ushite that he'd suggested the instance to his viewers or something? idfr)
Only 11% trans lol
The vast majority of issues with blahaj zone are concentrated in c/196. It's a shame it's one of the instance's most popular communities.
Hey, the use of "tech BRO" to describe trans women here feels a bit transphobic? Sure you didn't mean anything bad by it, but try avoid misgendering even people we don't like.
You're right, I'm sorry about that. It's changed now
Used to female coders using this to describe themselves too but obviously diff context here
Cool cool. I've got no reason to think you're transphobic based on previous posts, so I assumed the best intentions here. Good to see the language choice was unfortunate rather than malicious.
