Agree to disagree I suppose. When I think of "boomer Facebook group" I don't think of them casually criticizing the police state or militaristic profiteering, and when I think of "slop" I think of things that are lazily generated by AI.

I don't see how you can say it isn't at least trying to be a centrist meme when "liberals think x, conservatives think y, they're both wrong and I'm a genius because I think z" is the oldest centrist meme template in the book

"The imperial core shouldn't be getting any treats paid for by war crimes" is a pretty leftist take though, not a centrist one. I would imagine a centrist being more like "We should distribute money between those two while continuing to do war crimes.".

I agree with your first paragraph as well, I'm just talking about the meme's style. Slop doesn't really need to be AI, just has to be really low quality.
