A place to discuss and support all Steam Hardware, including Steam Deck, Steam Machine, Steam Frame, and SteamOS in general.
As Lemmy doesn't have flairs yet, you can use these prefixes to indicate what type of post you have made, eg:

If your post is only relevant to one hardware device (Deck/Machine/Frame/etc) please specify which one as part of the title or by using a device flair.
These are not enforced, but they are encouraged.
Rules:
- Follow the rules of Sopuli
- Posts must be related to Steam Hardware or Steam OS in an obvious way.
- No piracy, there are other communities for that.
- Discussion of emulators are allowed, but no discussion on how to illegally acquire ROMs.
- This is a place of civil discussion, no trolling.

You can have multiple accounts on a single deck. The switch is pretty quick, but you do need to auth in some way unless you set it to not require it. You do not need to install the same game multiple times. Essentially, if you've ever used the desktop client with multiple accounts, the functionality is very similar.
Was that sharing system not phased out in favour of steam family?

It doesn't work any different when using a single system.
Edit: I'm not referring to the old sustem where you'd authorize a system to play your games on other users.
I'm referring to the way you have to log in when switching to a new user.
