I know that the term "AI", as used in computer science, has a history outside of sci-fi and marketing and is such a broad umbrella that even machine learning is only one subset, but you know what? Fuck it! It's not a real AI unless it's the Geth or Shodan or some shit. I don't even care anymore.
When these clowns use "AI" what are they talking about? They're talking about a highly advanced intelligence on the level of humans at least. That's the implication. So I have no clue what your point is.
My point is I don't give a shit about the historical context of the word anymore. "AI" only refers to grifts and sci-fi to me now, and anyone that says these bullshit machines are positive (or even neutral) is dead wrong in my eyes.
My comment isn't a direct response to anything you posted; it's a general comment on the state of the discourse.
Ok yeah I was curious by what you meant because that's basically my opinion as well
