I just saw this post and was curious if something like this (restoring deleted comments) can be added to Voyager.

Maybe a toggle or something? Click to view like NSFW content?

Or is this an instance-level thing that Voyager couldn't do?

  1. Modlog wouldn't include users deleting their own posts/comments

  2. That would encourage mods to do hard deletes not soft deletes.

  3. you should be able to delete stuff!

Hard delete isn’t even a hard delete. Virtually everything can be recovered through federation.

Any mainstream instance/app should honour the intent though.
