I've never played it. I've read that article before but I didn't have a copy on my Saturn. I kind of feel like I should try to emulate it at least though to give it a go.

it's the gameplay loop for me. The climbing, the rainbows, I'm into it. The bubbles and the popping, and the single screen that moved on to the next, wasn't what I was into. but I do like to try at least.

Yeah, so since then I tried it myself. And you know what, i'm not so sure anymore if it is worth for you. It's basically like the original, but with "upgraded" audio and video. I can understand now why not so many talk about this "sequel" that plays a bit like a Remake from first game, but with some differences here and there. Feels kind of pointless to me and prefer even Rainbow Island over this (but not the original Bubble Bobble).

Lesson learned: Next time I try to test stuff before I suggest them.
