When I consider a game for buying, I look for playthrough videos, more than reviews. Do you do the same thing, and what are your favorite channels?

I value a good playthrough much more than a review. Just because an influencer likes a game does not mean I will.

A good playthrough should put me in the mind of a player. For example:

How much are they paying attention to their own game state vs. looking to help/hinder their opponent?
How many different moves do they need to consider?
How much are they calculating the expected value of a move?
How many things do they need to remember?
How much of their strategy is based on preexisting knowledge from previous games?

A reviewer might not bring it up or may have a different preference for it than I don
