MODERATORS

Context: the classic "power corrupts" cycle. Revolutionaries promise freedom and justice, but the second they get a taste of absolute power, they suddenly decide it's too good to give up. Castro, Lenin, Cromwell, Robespierre... they all started as "men of the people" and ended up as the very tyrants they swore to overthrow. The meme just takes that historical pattern and makes it hilariously blunt.

Meanwhile Ataturk : Can you fuckers make ONE opposition party that isn't going to be full of Political Islamists so we can move to a multi-party democracy?

Dies.

Ironically in Singapore :

Lee Kuan Yew :

Please give water lah. Singapore does not want to be independent, I don't want to be Prime minister

Tunku Abdul Rahman:

Get the fuck out of Malasia.

Then LKY proceeds to run Singapore for 40+ years ~~until he dies~~, but still has regular elections... but there are harsh punishments for disobeying laws.

The Ataturk from the Armenian genocide Young Turks party?

No, the Atatürk that stopped Turkey from being torn to pieces by the Entente and established a secular, westernised and modern republic in the middle east.
