I meant more documentation in the form of discussion through social media. Like sure, there could be uncertainty over the legitimacy of any one specific event, but I feel like there shouldn't be much question that the regular absurdity is widely accepted as real during the era it's taking place in. I can't picture a future archaeologist looking back and claiming the vast majority of this was fiction.

I think there is a genuine risk that the digital records like reporting and discussions get lost in the public record and only persist in AI datasets and eventually the AI datasets get lost as well and we only have the models.

There is a real cost, not unfathomably high, but big enough and recurring, for keeping that data around. The orgabisations doing that in the public interest are under constant legal threats.
