Can someone explain the regularity of doses required for damage? I take it every day for like 4 weeks per year.

It's basically 3% vs 4% risk anyway. Not the end of the world. Since it's one study there's probably not enough data for a case like yours, but in any case it's just a risk factor and not "it will definitely turn you blind".

ED meds have been found to affect vision in multiple studies since 2006. All of them.
