Why wasn't the US able to retain the memer who made the dongfeng missile despite being such a hub for innovation (hehehe)
Why isn't the US open to using funds for research and development instead of using the money for genocide?
Why hasn't innovation improved access to the fundamentals of human flourishing? No healthcare innovation besides the fucking chatbot for expensive insulin? No food innovation besides lettuce that makes you poop?
Silicon Valley is losing the AI arms race in a winner takes all sprint to a group of like 5 Chinese nationals who think it's funny to distill Claude?
Why wouldn't the innovation economy care that children are well educated and capable of warding off conspiracie theories, anti intellectualism, and anti-science like flat Earth?
Why wouldn't the innovation economy care about making sure its most educated are well off enough to not want to immigrate to places that provide healthcare, housing, childcare, education, and public transportation at reasonable prices?
Because I'm not convinced that America is driven by innovation so much as extraction infrastructure and MLMs
